Currently our Fibreline service does not come with a managed router unless you purchase the optional Technicolor TG672. If you chose to use your own router then it is up to you to set up your network. As part of the setup some equipment will have have been installed on site, however this is used to receive the connection into your premises, and is not a router.
Using the Technicolor TG672
If you have purchased the Technicolor TG672 please read this article for assistance in setting up the unit.
Configuring the network yourself
When we confirm your installation dates we will also send you details of your IP allocation and routing configuration, which you can use to configure your network. We will provide you with the following:
- IP allocation
- DNS servers
Please ensure that you set your router to use one of the IP addresses provided in your block allocation and not the gateway IP address. We recommend an IP address that you can configure on your router in the email, however you are free to use any of the free IP addresses provided within your allocated block.
If you cannot find this email you should be able to retrieve a copy from your Gradwell control panel. Login and click on the My Account link at the top of the control panel. Click on My Incidents and you should find a copy of the information here.
I want to increase my IP allocation
You can get either 1,8 or 16 IP addresses to use with our Fibreline service. If you would like more you will need to follow the procedure outlined in this knowledge base article.
