Currently our EFM service does not come with a managed router as standard. You can either purchase an optional Technicolor TG672 or use and configure your own equipment
As part of the connection an EtherAccess LA-210 RAD box would have been installed on site, however this is used to bond the multiple lines that come into your premises together, and is not a router.
Using the Technicolor TG672
If you have purchased the Technicolor TG672 please read this article for assistance in setting up the unit.
Configuring the network yourself
When we confirm your installation dates we will also send you details of your IP allocation and routing configuration, which you can use to configure your network. We will provide you with the following:
- IP allocation
- DNS servers
- VRRP details (used for VRRP failover)
Please ensure that you set your router to use one of the IP addresses provided in your block allocation and not the gateway IP address. We recommend an IP address that you can configure on your router in the email, however you are free to use any of the free IP addresses provided within your allocated block.
If you cannot find this email please contact Gradwell support for another copy.
I want to increase my IP allocation
You can get either 1,8 or 16 IP addresses to use with our EFM service. If you would like more you will need to follow the procedure outlined in this knowledge base article.
