Once you have purchased your SMTP Outbound package you can follow the instructions below to setup Mac Mail to relay mail through our servers.
This article assumes that you have already setup your email account within Mac Mail, and that you know the username and password that you have setup for use on your SMTP Outbound service.
From within Mail, click the Mail menu and then Preferences.
Your mail configuration will popup. Click Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) and then Edit SMTP Server List...
Edit the Server Name to be relay.gradwell.net and then click Advanced.
Change the authentication method to MD5 Challenge-Response.
Finally, enter the username and password that you have setup on your SMTP Outbound service. Click OK when you are done and close the preferences window, clicking Save when prompted.
Some ISPs block port 25, which is used by default for SMTP connections. If you are finding that sending mail does not work, return to the Advanced tab (where you entered the SMTP username and password) and in the Use custom port field enter 225.
