phpMyAdmin is a tool that allows you to manage MySQL databases using a web browser. Gradwell customers can use it to manage any databases they create whilst using our web hosting services.
Creating a new database
To create a new database, log in to your control panel and click on Hosting from the top menu bar to enter the hosting control panel.
Look for Manage databases in the left hand menu (in the MySQL section) and click it.A new sub-menu will now appear called Add database. Click this.
You can now create your new database. Enter a descriptive name for it, and a username and password which will be used to login to the database. Click Add database.
Logging in to your database
To access your database, you need to know the server that the database uses. To do this, click on Manage databases and make a note of the server used for your database.
Enter the username and password, and ensure that the correct database server that you noted down before is chosen from the dropdown box.
You will need to know your database Username and Password, and also the server that the Database is configured on in order to log in.
