This guide covers setting up trixbox CE for use with our Single User VoIP service, and presumes you have a basic working knowledge of trixbox.
Log on to the trixbox configuration and administration screen by entering the IP address of your trixbox into a web browser and switching to admin mode.
Select PBX -> PBX Settings.
Under the basic section on the left choose trunks.
Select the add SIP Trunk.
You will now be presented with the general settings screen for the SIP trunk and the settings must be entered following this format:
Outbound caller ID: Enter your outbound caller ID (You must use a number that you have either purchased from Gradwell or a number you have registered as a number that you own).
Enter the number of outbound channels you wish to allocate.
Outgoing dialing rules section
Dial rules: This is where you can set up a dialing rule for the trunk. You can set the system up so that you have to prefix the number with 9 to dial using this trunk or you can get more complicated and set the rule so that dialing certain numbers results in this trunk being used. Please see the Trixbox help for further information on the syntax.
Dial rules wizards: You can add prefixes to numbers, remove prefixes and use a lookup to replace prefixes.
Outbound dial prefix: If your Trixbox is behind another PBX and this requires you to dial 9 to access an outside line this is where you configure this.
Outgoing settings section
Trunk name: This is a descriptive name that you give to the Trunk.
PEER details: Enter the following lines in this box:
authuser=(the extension number from your Single Line account)
fromuser=(the extension number from your Single Line account)
username=(the extension number from your Single Line account)
secret=(the password associated with your extension number)
