This guide covers setting up outgoing routes on trixbox CE and presumes you have a basic working knowledge of trixbox.
Log on to the trixbox configuration and administration screen by entering the IP address of your trixbox into a web browser and switching to admin mode. Select PBX -> PBX Settings. Under the basic section on the left choose outbound routes. Select the add route option. You will now be presented with the general settings screen for the outbound routes and the settings must be entered following this format:
A descriptive name for the outbound route.
Optional setting to force users to supply a password before they can use the route.
Optional setting used to force the emergency CLI from the device.
Enter a unique set of numbers that will select this route or leave blank to default to this route. For example, 9 will mean that this route will only be used if a 9 is dialed before the full number.
This controls the order that trunks will be used if the above dial pattern is matched. Select from the dropdown boxes the order you wish your trunks to be used.
Select Submit Changes. Finally select the red bar at the top of the screen to reload the configuration files.
