The DrayTek Vigor IPPBX 2820 requires authentication of SIP trunks, however our SIP trunking services authenticate by IP address only. Therefore most of our customers have purchased either a Single User VoIP or Multi User VoIP service instead and configured using the Configuration for a Single User VoIP account instructions below. However, one of our customers has reported success in configuring several SIP trunks. The general configuration they use is included at the bottom of this page.
Configuration for a Single User VoIP account
After purchasing your account we will provide an extension number and password. These can be entered into the SIP trunk configuration to authenticate the trunk.
Enter the seven digit extension number in the Account Number/Name and Authentication ID fields, and the password into the Password field.
If the PBX is on a public IP enter sip.gradwell.net as the Domain/Realm. If the PBX is in a NAT environment then you should also enter nat.gradwell.net as the Proxy and 5082 as the Proxy Port.
A screenshot of a configuration in a NAT environment is shown below.
Configuration for a SIP trunk
To configure a SIP trunk, use the general settings provided below.
Once you have configured your IPPBX, please also ensure that the SIP alias in the Gradwell control panel includes the SIP local port that you have configured on the DrayTek Vigor. To do this, click on SIP Inbound on the left hand menu. Select the SIP trunk you need to change.
In the box below, enter the IP address and port. For example, in the image below we have stated the port as 5070 by adding :5070 after the IP address. Click Apply Settings to confirm the changes.
If you are using an alias (i.e. using the Aliases section from the left hand menu) please ensure you do the same for the Destination.
