The Gradwell Phone mobile client allows you to transfer calls in two ways:
- "Blind" transfer: this is where you transfer a call to another number, and don't check whether the call completes or announce the transfer first
- "Attended" transfer: this is where you first speak to the party you wish to transfer the call to. This is also sometimes referred to as an announced transfer
During your call, select the transfer icon.
Enter the telephone number or seven digit internal extension of the person you wish to transfer the call to, and then click the green call button. The call will be transferred and you will be disconnected from it.
Whilst performing this type of transfer you will speak to the party you are transferring to first. The first step is to initiate a call to them using the top left icon (a phone with a plus symbol).
The original call will be placed on hold.
Enter the telephone number or seven digit extension number of the person you plan to transfer the call to and press the green call button.
Once you are ready to transfer, press the att. transfer icon.
(Alternatively, if you now wish to cancel the transfer simply hang up the call using the red icon. If you need to speak to the original party again press the black and white circular arrow icon next to it to switch calls).
You will be given a list of other currently active calls. Simply select it to transfer the call across. You will now be disconnected and the other two parties will continue the call.
