The snom HS BT headset is a bluetooth headset allowing wireless communication on your snom 7xx series phone. Please note that Gradwell have only tested this unit on the 7xx series of snom phones, and are unable to offer support on pairing it for use with other devices.
The two main components in the box are:
The dongle is plugged into the back of your 7xx series snom phone, and you can then use the bluetooth headset to make and receive calls once you have followed the pairing instructions below.
The picture below shows the button functionality on the headset.
You should ensure that the headset is fully charged before use. You will be supplied with a micro USB lead which can be connected to your computer. Charging will take around two hours.
With the headset off, plug the USB dongle into the rear of your snom 7xx series phone.
With the headset off, press and hold the call button until it flashes blue and red alternatively. This places the headset in pairing mode.
Press the button on the USB dongle briefly. This will also flash blue and red.
When the two devices have successully paired the USB dongle LED will be blue, and the headset LED will flash blue occasionally.
If you find calls are not coming through to your headset (and instead can only be answered by the phone handset), press the headset button on your snom phone.
Turning the headset on and off
To turn the headset on, press the call button for four seconds. When the LEDs begin to flash, take your finger off on the blue flash.
Incoming calls will be announced by a beeping in the ear. Press the call button to answer.
If you would prefer not to take the call, long press the call button for two seconds.
Placing a call on hold
If you wish to place a call on hold, double press the call button.
A double press of the call button will resume the call.
Working with multiple calls
If you are on a call and another call comes in, you will be notified by a beep in the headset. To place the current call on hold and answer the incoming call, double click the call button.
To terminate the current call and answer the incoming call, press the call button once.
Ending a call
To end a call, press the call button once. If another call was on hold, that call will be reconnected.
Redialling the last called number
To redial the last number called, double press the call button whilst you are not on an active call.
Adjusting the volume
The headset has volume buttons on the side. Press these to turn the volume up or down as necessary.
