Day and night mode on a ProTalk door entry system allows you to chose different parties to be called at different times of the day (within the Memory numbers area of the web interface). You can either switch between day and night mode manually or automatically.
To get started, login to the web interface and click on Basic parameters.
There are three settings you can set here, whether to switch between modes automatically or manually, and if switching manually the code to use to change between modes.
To switch between modes manually select Manually from the Switching between Day Night section. You can also select the code for switching in the Code of switching area, this is the code you enter in the format of * + [code] after calling the extension configured on the door entry unit.
Also ensure that Day-Night is selected under Mode of choice numbers.
Click save changes to save your settings.
To switching between modes automatically select Automatic from the Switching between Day Night section and also ensure that Day-Night is selected under Mode of choice numbers. Click save changes to save your settings.
Now click on Time parameters from the left hand menu. You can enter the time periods of the day that day mode will apply. Any times not listed will have night mode settings applied to them.
For example, in the image below day mode rules will apply between 8am and 12pm, and 1pm and 5pm. Any time before 8am, between 12pm and 12:59pm, and after 5:01pm will be treated as night.
