To set up your Gigaset DX800A phone, follow steps one to four in the included Gigaset DX800A Getting Started booklet (also attached to this article), this will walk you through setting up the DX800A, connecting it to additional devices such as Fax or ISDN lines and also connecting the unit to your router.
In order to configure the VoIP connection (if necessary) you will need the following pieces of information:
- Your Extension Number
- Your Extension Password
The default admin password to access the web interface on the unit is "admin" (case sensitive).
However, if you have purchased the DX800A directly from Gradwell, then the unit will arrive configured and setup ready to use.
Gradwell have worked with Gigaset to become a listed VoIP provider, this means that most of the initial setup will be performed automatically for you as our server details are stored online.
In order to start making VoIP calls on the DX800A follow the stepson the seciton in the user manual entitled "Configuring the VoIP connection". You can set up the account directly on the unit using the Auto Configuration wizard – this does require that the DX800A has internet access.
Adding additional handsets
If you have purchased additional DECT handsets and you wish to register these to the DX800A follow the steps in the user manual to register these and assign them to either the VoIP or Fixed Line connections.
