Mail is an application that allows you to send and receive email from Apple products. Configuration to use it for Gradwell mail services is a simple process.
First you will need to create a mailbox in your online control panel. Make sure that the username and password is noted down, as this will be required during the setup of your email account within Mail.
If you have not configured any email accounts in Mail you will go straight into the setup wizard. Alternatively select File and then Add Account to open up the wizard.
Enter your name as you'd like it to appear when you send outbound mail, and then the email address and password for the mailbox as configured in your online control panel. Click Continue when you are ready to move on.
On the next screen you need to configure where inbound mail can be retrieved from. Select IMAP as the Account Type and a description of your choice. In the Incoming Mail Server field enter imap.gradwellcloud.com and re-enter your mailbox's email address and password in the User Name and Password fields. Click Continue when done.
You now need to enter the details used when sending email. Enter a description of your choice and then smtp.gradwellcloud.com as the Outgoing Mail Server. Tick Use Authentication and enter your mailbox address and password.
Finally, ensure that Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is ticked and that the authentication method is set to Password. Click Continue to finalise the setup.
Your mailbox will now be configured and you will be able to send and receive email.
