If you have purchased an SSL certificate from a certificate authority then you can upload it into your control panel. Please note that this requires you to purchase and enable an exclusive IP address first - please see this guide for more assistance - as by default our shared web hosting service uses shared IP addresses.
Once you have your SSL certificate details you will need both the certificate and private key information, both of which you should have from your SSL certificate issuer (usually in a confirmation email after purchase).
From within your control panel, select Websites from the top menu
Select the website that you wish to install the SSL certificate on from the list.
Now select Web Hosting Settings.
On the web hosting settings page, ensure that the IP address is set to an exclusive IP address (as shown in the picture below), or the following steps will not work.
See this guide if it is currently set to a shared IP address.
If it is correctly set then select SSL from the top menu.
Now select Install certificate to upload your SSL certificate.
There are a couple of ways to add the certificate. If you have already uploaded it to the control panel, you can select Repository (see the section on Managing your certificates at a later date below for more information on the repository). If you have it saved as a text file you can select File. Finally, if you have the SSL certificate details in an email, you can simply select Clipboard to copy and paste the certificate details and private key details.
This is an example of copy and pasting the SSL certificate details. Simply paste the certificate details from your confirmation email in the top box and the private key in the second.
Once your SSL certificate is successfully uploaded then all files uploaded to your webspace will be covered by your SSL certificate.
