It is possible for a User to divert or forward calls to an external telephone number (a home or a mobile number). It will also allow you have multiple devices ring at the same time.
To set up an external number, navigate to the Users & Extensions section in your control panel (as below).
Firstly, click on the Show extensions option next to the User and then click Add external phone number.
You can configure the external number as below. You need to give your external number a familiar name, choose who to assign the external number to (or use it as a standalone that is not assigned to any particular user). Finally, you need to enter the external number itself (it can be a home phone or mobile) and then click Create External Number.
Your external number has now been created.
In the example below, if the User's Gradwell telephone number or internal extension (407) are dialled, both Jamie's deskphone and mobile phone will ring at the same time.
If you have created an external number as a Standalone , you can set your Gradwell telephone number to forward calls to your external number from the Phone Numbers page.
On the Phone Numbers page, click the Edit button next to the phone number that you wish to change the destination for, and then select your external number from the drop-down list and click Save.
