Configuring the Mail client in Windows 8.1 to use your Gradwell Cloud email account is simple.
First you will need to create a mailbox in your online control panel. Make sure that the username and password is noted down, as this will be required during the setup of your email account within Mail.
In the Mail client, move your mouse to the bottom right hand corner of the screen to open up the charm bar. Select Accounts.
Select Add an account.
Select Other account.
Ensure that IMAP is selected and then click Connect.
Click Show more details.
Enter your account details for your email mailbox into the form. Ensure that the following details are set correctly:
- Incoming (IMAP) email server: enter imap.gradwellcloud.com, with the port number 993
- Outgoing (SMTP) email server: enter smtp.gradwellcloud.com, with the port number 587
Please note that it is very important to ensure that you change the default outgoing (SMTP) email server port to 587, otherwise you will be unable to send email.
Once completed select Connect and your mail client will be setup.
